ACCURATE team presented the prototype of a high-precision (absolute and relative) positioning solution
From 30.05.-01.06.2022, the 14th European ITS Congress took place in Toulouse, France. NavCert was on site with its ACCURATE project team, where they presented the first prototype of a high-precision (absolute and relative) positioning solution.
The jointly developed ACCURATE On-Board Unit (OBU) leverages Valeo's advanced Telematics Control Unit (TCU) and Lidar system to bring high-precision GNSS and Lidar-based localization technologies for autonomous driving to the mass market. This is made possible by the innovation efforts of teams from Valeo, Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, NavCert GmbH, Intempora, Vicomtech, and FDC.
The Toulouse demonstration showed how the high-precision GNSS position output by the ACCURATE on-board unit (OBU) enables the vehicle's ADAS system to create a highly accurate local dynamic map (LDM) of moving and stationary objects in the vehicle's environment.
Accurate is a research project funded by the GSA Fundamental Elements program under Grant Agreement GSA/GRANT/03/2018.
