Certification mark PPP 80019
Ground-based correction data service for satellite positioning
Subject of audit:
This certification mark is awarded to a ground-based RTK correction data service (RTK: Real-Time Kinematic) for satellite positioning, which enables dynamic real-time positioning with an accuracy of up to ±2 cm in the horizontal plane. Verification subjects are real-time positioning accuracy, the availability of the service as well as the quality of service for agricultural applications.
Examination based on:
The certification mark is awarded as part of a voluntary certification bases on ISO 5725-1:1997; ISO 5725-2:2019 and ISO 5725-6:2002.
A performance and accuracy measurement is carried out on a test track that reflects the requirements for manoeuvres in agriculture (e.g. slow speeds, many turns and 180° turns), using a precise reference positioning system this is followed by a statistical evaluation.
The audit will focus on:
- Validation and verification of the (management) concept for
- System design
- User administration
- Data processing
- Data security
- Troubleshooting and fault rectification
- Analysis of availability and operational safety
- Quality of service
- Reaction times for customer support
- Professional competence
Test mark affirms:
1. Precision farming:
Precision farming is a method of locally differentiated and targeted cultivation of agricultural land. The aim is to consider the differences in soil and yield within a field. The machines and equipment for precision farming usually use navigation systems (sensor-controlled) and GNSS receivers as well as special equipment for a site-specific application of resources to determine the position within a field. During the certification of the system under test, it is checked whether the requirements of precision farming regarding availability, reliability and accuracy of the correction data are met during typical manoeuvres.
2. Guidance systems:
Guidance systems are GNSS-based guidance devices that enable the user to travel in uniform straight (parallel) tracks, curved or circular tracks of equal distance. It is a suitable aid for avoiding distances or overlaps, thus reducing material consumption. A guidance system places high demands on the accuracy and reliability of a GNSS system. During the certification of the system under test, it is checked whether the requirements of the guidance systems with regards to availability, reliability and accuracy of the correction data are fulfilled.
3. 2 cm dynamic accuracy:
Dynamic measurements are used to statistically prove that the measurement accuracy achieved for real-time positioning is within ± 2cm (at 2 Sigma) in the horizontal plane.
Dynamic accuracy is the accuracy of the system under test compared to the reference system. This accuracy is a prerequisite for precision farming and guidance systems.
