Ground-based correction data service for satellite navigation

Subject of audit:

The certification mark is awarded to a ground based Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) correction data service for satellite positioning, which enables static real-time positioning with an accuracy of up to ±2 cm horizontally and ± 4 cm vertically. Verification subjects are the real-time positioning accuracy, the availability, and the quality of service.

Examination based on:

The certification mark is awarded within the framework of voluntary certification based on ISO 17123-8:2015 and ISO 17123-8:2003.

A performance and accuracy measurement is carried out using test and calibration fields with very high accuracy. A statistical evaluation is performed.

The test mark affirms:

1. Measurement accuracy 2 cm in real-time:
Static measurements are used to statistically prove that the measurement accuracy achieved for real-time positioning is within ± 2cm (at 2 Sigma) in the horizontal plane.

2. Availability of service 99%:
To prove the availability of the service, an audit is performed, and the current availability statistics are checked. In addition, both technical and organizational measures are checked that have been taken to enable the promised availability of 99%.

3. High service quality (accessibility, activation):
The company’s service to be certified is audited to ensure that customers always receive the promised quality of service. During the audit, the company’s services are assessed. For this purpose, the accessibility, competence of the service team and response time of the hotline and the web contact are assessed.

In addition, the scope of service, functionality and service quality are checked in the audit.
